Download the L1.5 desktop client
The same game as the web client, installed on your computer. Game files are saved the first time you see them and only downloaded again when the server changes them, so it loads faster and copes much better with a slow or unreliable connection.
It keeps itself up to date: game updates arrive automatically, and the app asks before installing a new version of itself.
Windows
Run L1.5-Setup.exe. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. No administrator rights needed.
macOS
Open L1.5.dmg and drag L1.5 into Applications. The first time you open it, macOS may say it cannot verify the app: open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
Linux
AppImage: chmod +x L1.5.AppImage, then run it. The .deb installs with sudo apt install ./l15_amd64.deb and uses your system's WebKitGTK, so it is a much smaller download.
Good to know
- Log in with your normal L1.5 game account. Characters, hotkeys and settings are the same in the desktop and web clients.
- The first time you visit a new area its maps and monsters download once; after that they load from your computer.
